It’s a good day when an episode of “Scrubs” can be the weakest in a night of comedy. Dr. Cox spoofing on “House” was funny for sure and the scenes with JD and his pregnant girlfriend were silly good but once again with “Scrubs” the serious stuff was too heavy for the light attitude of the rest of the material.
Part of “Scrubs” brilliance is that it does interject serious circumstances into the show but postpartum depression? That seems really too serious for a comedy unless it’s the “Cosby Show.”
Unlike “My Name Is Earl,” “Scrubs” has not yet hit its stride, as I think I’ve said a hundred times now. I think we’ll have to play out Carla’s storyline before it does unfortunately.
