I don't know about anyone else, but it has been way too long since "Heroes" went the way of hiatus. I'm really hoping there is a five minute "catch-up" intro because I've forgotten almost everything. My big question is: Are we getting a flash forward episode tonight? What's your biggest question?
It was weird. The show waits until the end of the season to show a bunch of game footage. And did it have to be the cliché “we’re down by four touchdowns at halftime, let’s go win it cause we have heart” type scenario?
Since it was a finale, I would’ve liked to see the team come up just short and have something to grow from. I guess they did go through enough this season, but it seems next year all they’ll have to handle is a new coach and being “targets.”
The real drama will come from the Taylor household. I wonder if next year (NBC did ask for scripts for more episodes) will start in the off-season or at the start of the fall football season.
I’m really torn on the finale. I liked how it tied up the personal conflicts like Tyra and Lila, Street and his disability and the Taylors. OK, not the Taylors. It’s still the best drama NBC has right now so I’m not going to complain too much. They could misconstrue it as me not liking the show. I do, I really do. Go Panthers!
Sorry we've been remiss in posting. American Idol has taken precedence in our house which means we're often watching our favorite NBC shows long after the original air date. AI is everywhere! Just last night, The Nightly News with Brian Williams did a segment on Sanjaya and Brian made a joke that the buzz is so big that this kid with bad hair and a bad voice was even getting press on rival networks.
While AI is our number one show right now, as it is with millions and millions of other Americans, there is still a lot of news and commentary to catch up on. Here are the updates on our favorite NBC shows:
1. It's been confirmed that, despite low ratings, 30 Rock, has been picked up for a second season. We couldn't be happier. Alec Baldwin has to be the funniest comedic actor on TV right now and we've thoroughly enjoyed this show all year.
2. Still no word on Friday Night Lights, which is absolutely killing us. We love, love, love this show. Words can not express just how much we love this show and we will be devastated if it does not get renewed. To show our support for the show we even ordered an overpriced Dillon Panthers t-shirt from the NBC store. We're guessing that most people won't have a clue who the Dillon Pathers are when it's warm enough to wear this shirt outside. We love this show so much, we might even buy the first season DVD and watch it all over again this summer. As someone who cried when both Dawson's and Felicity ended, I'm already preparing myself for the tears that will be streaming down my face next Wednesday night. We can only hope and pray it will not be the last episode. For those of you who are interested, the Chicago Tribune recently ran a fantastic and enlightening story on FNL. It's definitely worth a read.
